Day 1 : Delhi
Arrival at Delhi. Holidays Points staff will lodge you in your hotel accommodation on the first day of your Nainital Ranikhet Tour Package. Relax in your hotel which will be equipped with all the modern day amenities. Holidays Points staff will brief you about your itinerary and will help you to get all necessary gear for your Nainital Ranikhet tour package. You will be served welcome dinner at a pre-booked hotel and a doctor will be available on call for any medical complication.
Day 2 : Delhi
After breakfast, proceed on full day sightseeing of the landmarks and monuments and Old and New Delhi. The places that you will be visiting are: Rajghat ( Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi ), Red Fort, Qutab Minar ( The 72 meter high tenth century brick minaret ), Jama Masjid, India Gate, Laxmi Narain Mandir, Lotus Temple, President House, and Parliament House. Proceed to Nainital at the day end. Influence of the Mughal and British Raj architecture is evident in the monuments of Delhi. The city is also famous for its lush green gardens like Lodhi Garden, Talkatora Garden and the Garden of Five Senses. South Ex, Connaught Place and Ansal Plaza are major markets of Delhi wherein you can shop for numerous items.
Day 3 : Nainital
On third day of your Nainital travel, visit Nainital’s lakes, cottages and villas. The scenic beauty of this tourist attraction will leave you spell bound. Shop at Mall Road (Govind Ballabh Pant Marg). Stay at Nainital resort and relax. Proceed to Corbett in late evening. Nainital is dotted with several natural lakes. The town is also known as the “Lake District of India.” Important places to visit in Nainital are: Haldwani, Ramgarh, Bhimtal, Mukteshwar, Guano Hills, Naina Devi Temple, Tiffin Top and Snow View. You may enjoy trekking at Tiffin Top and China Peak. Naini Lake has excellent facilities for paddle boats.
Day 4 : Corbett
Relax in the morning. Visit Garji Devi Temple in the afternoon and you may take her blessings. The temple is visited by thousands of faithfuls each day. Girja Devi temple is located in Ramnagar near Nainital on a small island of river Kosi. The temple is named after the goddess Girja – the daughter of the mountains. There is a 4.5 feet high statue of the goddess Girja in the temple. A fair is held here on every Kartik Poornima day and thousands of faithful throng the temple during the fair to pay their obedience to the goddess.
Day 5 : Corbett
Explore the wild life of Corbett National Park in a jeep safari on fifth day of your tour package. The national park has a large number of tigers, elephants, wolves, deers, neelgais, birds and snakes. The park also boasts of several endangered and rare species of animals. Corbett National park is spread over an area of 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. In addition, the national reserve has a buffer area of about 800 sq km. It core area is bounded by Kanda ridge. River Ramganga flows through it. The Corbett forest reserve is named after British hunter turned conservationist Jim Corbett who was instrumental in establishing this oldest reserve of India.
Day 6 : Corbett – Ranikhet
Proceed for Ranikhet after breakfast. Visit Chaubatia, Jhoola Devi and Upat & Kalika Golf Course on sixth day of your travel package. Try your hand at Golf for some time in the Golf Course. Ranikhet means Queen’s Meadow. Legend had it the king Sudhardev won the heart of his queen Rani Padmini, who liked the area so much that she chose it be her abode, giving it the name Ranikhet. The area is rich in pine and oak trees. Wildlife attractions of the region are barking deer, leopard cat, mountain goat and red-faced monkeys. Pathways in Ranikhet will lead you to the awe inspiring view of the majestic Himalayas.
Day 7 : Ranikhet
On the second last day of your Nainital Ranikhet tour package, visit Chaukhutia, Naithna Devi, Hairakhan Temple, Manila Devi temples and Jaurasi. The temples are aesthetically built and are testimony to the spiritual life of the locals. Your overnight stay will be at Ranikhet. Ranikhet means Queen’s Meadow. Best months to visit Ranikhet are December and January when you can experience pretty good snowfall in the region. Chaubatia orchards provide you a good view of the picturesque Himalayas.
Day 8 :
You may decide to come back to Delhi by rail, road or air. You may enjoy last minute shopping in Delhi metropolis. A joy ride in Delhi Metro or an hour long stroll in the Central Park will provide you a soothing experience. Delhi’s cuisines are known for their high inputs of spices. You may shop for handicrafts in state emporiums in Connaught Place. Depart for Delhi in the morning. Take flight back home
